2011 – Present Freelance Producer, The Jeremy Vine Show, BBC Radio 2

Working as part of a small team producing the daily show from pitching item ideas for that day’s transmission right through to researching and booking guests, cue and question-writing to briefing Jeremy and then selecting the calls during the show.

2010 – Present Freelance Afternoon Producer, BBC Radio Bristol.

12/2007 – 02/2008 Freelance Entertainment Reporter, IRN Interviewing showbiz personalities from Daniel Craig and Ryan Reynolds to Alan Carr. Producing scripts for all commercial stations using the service. Package production, updating and sending out entertainment bulletins.

10/2007 – 12/2007 Freelance Drivetime Producer, BBC London Responsibilities included determining news agenda with Programme Controller and News Editor, deciding programme content and running order with Presenters. Studio producing the show.

02/2008 Voice Over Idents for The Richard Allinson Show, BBC Radio 2

06/2004 – 05/2007 Network Presenter & Producer for BFBS Radio (British Forces) Flagship broadcasting, production planning and material research across 23 countries. Acting Station Manager, improved programming in key locations including two terms in Iraq, presenting the Middle East Breakfast Show. Established relationships with a comprehensive list of media and music industry contacts. Reported backstage for music events including SXSW, Glastonbury and the NME awards. Produced two feature length documentaries.

06/2001 – 06/2004 Freelance Producer, Broadcast Journalist & Presenter Contracts with BSKYB digital, BBC Choice, KMFM, Radio 2SM & Warner Village Cinemas. Extensive voice-over work delivering commercial messages with energy and effectiveness. Successful television series fronting a road safety campaign.

05/1999 – 11/2001 Afternoon Presenter for Cool FM Interviewing and programming for Northern Ireland•s biggest music station. Dealt with complex media concerns including sensitive political issues. Interviewed a diverse range of people from popstars to high-ranking politicians. Organised and hosted Outside Broadcasts to 30,000 people.

06/1999 – 04/2000 Producer & Presenter for BFBS Radio (British Forces) Assisted in installation of BFBS in Northern Ireland. Produced programmes for global audiences. Acting Station Manager for 2 months. Enjoyed creative freedom and working under pressure.

06/1997 -06/1999 Freelance Producer, Studio Manager, Presenter & Broadcast Journalist Contracts with BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service, BBC Radio Derby and BBC Radio Nottingham.

Qualifications

BA Hons Media Production (First Class) 4 A levels including Law, French and English Literature, 9 GCSEs – and my cycling proficiency…..
