Welcome!
I’m a network radio producer, documentary maker and professional voice artist with many years of experience. My rates are reasonable and my standards are high. Be it voice-overs, media training or any kind of production you need help with, I’d be delighted to hear from you and happy to discuss your audio needs.
I started making radio at the age of 13, volunteering at my local hospital radio station and being paid in biscuits. A few years later, I graduated from University with a first in my BA (Hons) Media Production degree, and started my career proper working for the great Piers Plowright at BBC Radio 4. I went on to be a presenter and producer for various BBC stations, moved to Belfast for a few years as a presenter for their major commercial station Cool FM, and then travelled around the world with BFBS, the forces radio station. I was the first female BFBS broadcaster on detachment to Basrah, and spent a total of six months emulating ‘Good Morning Vietnam’ and presenting the Middle East Breakfast show. Back home at the network, I took the helm of the Evening Show, introducing new music to a global audience across 23 countries. I had some incredible opportunities reporting backstage from music festivals such as SXSW in Texas and somewhat closer to home, Glastonbury – and have interviewed many major artists and film stars. After a happy few years with BFBS, I went freelance as a showbiz reporter for IRN.
These days, I balance bringing up my young daughter at home in Somerset with being a freelance producer at BBC Radio 2, on the Jeremy Vine Show – and BBC Radio Bristol, on the Afternoon Show. I do voice-overs, I make podcasts and documentaries, I train clients how to excel in media interviews. If you are interested in working with me – be it as a potential client or a fellow radio enthusiast (read – geek) – then drop me a line and let’s talk.
